Though this probably won't appeal to the hardcore Table Tennis player, it is hilarious. The premise is basically ping pong in an apartment with crazy players, hot female referee's, comedian commentators, oh and drinking rules. Everyone has to do shots when they miss a shot, or get slammed on. What really makes this so funny is the commentators who bash everyone, insult everyone, and make the funniest comments I've ever heard. If you like stupid humor, good looking girls, and drinking, this is definitely worth checking out.

I picked up a copy of this set of DVDs overseas and I was not disappointed when I finally sat down to watch it. Each DVD covers one period of the history of Table Tennis and liberally adds in rare footage of actual games played as far back as half a century ago. The content stops short of the modern era, ending right around the ascent of Liu Guoliang, but it's still incredible in scope. That said there are several fairly large criticisms with this documentary. 1. It's entirely in Mandarin. If you do not understand Chinese, you'll probably want to pass unless you're really interested in the footage. 2. As you might expect from the title of the series, it entirely focuses on the Chinese development of the sport. There is virtually no content from before the Chinese began to win their first international championships. 3. Being an official production, it's remarkably sanitized. This documentary generally steers clear of the history of repression during the Cultural Revolution. In any event, there are better sources concerning tragic histories of Ruo Guotuan and the others. Criticisms aside, this remains a great collection of some rather rare footage.

This was purchased for my 13 year old daughter. She had picked it out and was very excited to get it. She was quickly disappointed. In her opinion, the graphics are terrible and the game is slow and boring, especially because all you have to do is swing the paddle and you will hit the ball--aiming it does not seem to be of any benefit.

I really enjoyed this game in begining as i really like table tennis a lot but this game gets very frustrating very quickly as the 3rd or 4th guy is like impossible to beat with the speed and spin that they play with. i gave up after like 5-10 tries and now this game is just collecting dust.

I love Table Tennis for Xbox 360 more than Tim Tebow loves Jesus. If you could give games a rating of 11 (instead of 10, since this website only lets you score up to 10) I would definitely say 11. But since I can't, I will give it a 10. Graphics: 10. Sounds: 10 (Crank the volume up, you can really hear the ball hit the table and the characters very witty attitude remarks). Story Line: 10. Female Character Sexiness: 15 (Haley and Carmen Making out? Yes please. Oh wait, Cassidy just showed up? Ménage à trois!) Perhaps the greatest feature in the game is the sexy, estrogen driven Lioness like mind-set of the female players. Extraordinary. Second would be the excitement of the rallies. Insane. I had a rally against Liu Ping that lasted 73 shots. I went into this zone, like another world. I actually thought I was in San Paulo, Brazil. I could hear the crowd, see the blur of the ball and feel my pulse quicken pace. Then the lights dim, the crowd is gone. It is just me (Haley). And Liu. The techno beat surges as does my focus shot. 67, 68, 69, right sidespin, left sidespin, right sidespin...my sweat is dripping down my face, no time to wipe though, my hands are busy making Ping Pong magic. My focus bar blinks! I hit left trigger, hold Topspin, aim left. Full focus top spin winner!!! San Paulo is Mine! Achievement unlocked! Thank you Rockstar, for bringing Me, and Table Tennis alive through video gaming.

As many others have mentioned, this game was developed by Rockstar (of GTA fame). I still find that humorous! I think the biggest issue with this game is that it really requires you to know strategies from real life tennis-like games (squash, tennis, table tennis, etc). If you do not know these, you will not be able to win. I have the pleasure of knowing the game of squash quite well, so i was able to implement the strategies. Here are a few tips: After every shot, get back to a center. When making shots, try to lead the other player further and further from center. (do a left side table shot with leftspin, on the return, do a right side table shot with right spin. If they get there quick, switch to left spin focus shot on right side of table, putting it behind them) Mix and match with different depths on the table! Just like in real life, the player who does not get back to center properly will be the one to lose that point The graphics, for its time, are really quite nice. Animations are relatively realistic and sound effects are done extremely well. The difficulty is not that bad, but sometimes it seems like your character has a mind of their own. The characters all play extremely differently, and i really appreciate the time put into it. However, unlockables are quite boring. I wish some of the jerzees gave boosts to some stats, or something similar. To be blunt, this is a shallow game, with the exception of center strategy. It wont be a game that will suck you in for hours and hours at a time, but its perfect when you dont have much time and want to play a few matches. My biggest dig is on the colored markers for the different spins. I am partially color-blind (red/green/brown & blue/purple) and this aspect of the game was literally impossible for me. One of the training challenges has you returning with the same spin as it was sent with. There is absolutely no way for me to see that, especially when it has a bit weaker spin. It is really frustrating, especially since so many games that operate so strongly on color offer a "color-blind" mode. There was obviously no consideration for those like me. Luckily, returning a volley with the same spin really does not affect my ability to win... I will say that although the game mechanics and timing worked well for me, one of my best friends just could NOT get it. I wont entirely blame the game for it, but it could be indicative of how you and others will be able to play the game. For the price, it really is a decent buy. Especially if you can get it with free shipping. As with --ALL-- games, rent before you buy!!!! well, i guess in this case, i was able to purchase it for half of what i would have been able to rent it for... Maybe there is a demo on XBL?

This game simply is what it is, a very basic and VERY WELL DONE game of ping pong. Not many 'bells and whistles' to be found here, but it's very refreshing to see what happens when a praised developer such as Rockstar focuses it's talent and energy into one thing in particular and a superb experience, that anyone can enjoy, is the final result. The price tag just makes it that much more of a great package. I was skeptical, as I'm not usually a big fan of sports games, let alone tennis of any kind, but this was a very pleasant surprise!

Good for when you have buddies over and want to challenge each other. I Like to get a group of my friends and play a tournament with each other, it gets really competitive, just make sure everyone is at least familiar with the game, it makes it more fun. Really Crappy for single player. And it can only be one on one when playing multi-player; no two on two.

This game is impossible to play and is very difficult to use. I bought the paddles and it was a waste of money. I am going to trade in the game for Wii sports resort or Mario Kart. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, if you do you will be extremely disappointed and confused on how to play it.

The presentation makes the game play seem more than it is. The play of the players is slow and control is archaic by today's standards. On the Wii, one would expect to be able to throw spin by paddle motion. This is not the case. Spin is done the "old fashioned" way by pressing the arrows and buttons in combination to get different effects. The game is a let down. The closest play to real paddle control comes from the Wii Sports Resort game. Now...if they'd allow you to control your character back to the middle of the table...I'd be in heaven.

Dont buy this. I only inserted it twice in my wii, ist complicated to play and i dount it boring, never played more then 5 minutes because it just dont make you feel for it. If you are a ping pong player that knows all the rules and the sping, moves, etc, you will like this. Overall I think its slow for the wii, it doesnt load as fast and the persons I showed it too said I should change it right away after 3 minutes of watching. The menu is horrible. Most people dont know what to do with it. Until you start playing you have to train and there are just to many steps. I usually love technical games with several moves and stuff but this just sucks

For the life of me, I could not get this game to work properly for me. I couldn't even get past the training sessions because the controls just don't seem to work in standard mode. The only way I got any enjoyment from the game was using the nunchuck, which isn't terrible, but the game should work as-in, out of the box. The cheap tennis game in WiiSports worked 10 times better and it was just a throwaway game. The graphics for this game are very good and it seems it could be a great game, but when you make a certain motion with the Wii controller, the on-screen character just doesn't match up, which is highly frustrating. I would rather have a game with lame graphics that actually works well and plays well and is fun, then a great looking game that you can't play with any accuracy.

Bought the game with a lot of excitement since I am an avid fan of table tennis.. only to be hugely disappointed... the game doesn't have any option to select left hand as the racket holding hand. This completely ruins everything because if you play with the remote in your left hand, none of your moves/motion are "copied" correctly, not even close. Come on Rockstar - even Wii Sports have left/right hand option - this is one of the most basic options that should have been included.

This product was solid and the price was excellent. The racquets are a cut above the cheap kind without padding--very good for a starter set. I am really pleased overall with the price and quality. Also included were balls and a net, above average quality.

this is a really good tennis table product. it's durable and you would have a net, 3 free balls and 4 rackets! and its PRINCE!

This set is very good for beginning players because it has dual sides. One side has bumps raised which gives better control, the other has bumps in which allows for more spin. Both sides have sponge, but I only gave it a 3 because of the net. The clamp hinges for the net is a low quality.

Ping Pong Balls - 144/pk Ping Pong Balls - 144/pk

Reviews

I read the previous reviews of this vendor. I purchsed these to play a joke on a co-worker, so I could care less about the quality. I just wanted the product. Sadly, my very low expectations could not be met. They billed my credit card and I never got the product. Avoid this vendor.

I just received my 144 ping pong balls and couldn't be more happy! They are not very good for ping pong, but I bought them for beer pong and they work awesome! They are a little smaller than a normal ping pong ball, but the weight is almost the same. The are a little thicker than the average ping pong ball so it makes it harder for those drunkin idiots to dent them. They still bounce good and being almost impossible to dent will last a long time. So for everyone that gave the balls a bad review, QUIT TRYIN TO GET SOMETHIN FOR NOTHIN!!!! THESE BALLS ARE AWSOME!!!!!

If you need bulk ping pong balls, this s a great company to buy them from. Quick delivery. My problem is with Amazon. They advertized these balls with a toy Burp gun. Back in the 50's ping pong balls worked great, today's guns need a smaller special ball. Needless to say I have 144 ping pong balls that are too big and won't work. This company was kind enough to offer a refund but what I have to do to get it and the cost of shipping, I'm keeping them. They make cute Christmas tree decorations. :-)

These are okay and came promptly, but their bounce is a little flimsy and my cats prefer the heftier orange ones.

i used these balls for a project. they worked very well. they are not like regular ping pong balls and would not be good to play ping pong with. they are better for projects and beer pong. i love that they are unmarked.

Stiga Metro Table Tennis Table Stiga Metro Table Tennis Table

Reviews

After shopping for tables for about a week or two and reading hundreds of reviews I purchased the Stiga Metro. All of the great reviews of this table were absolutely true and very helpful. This table is very easy to assemble and it took a total of about 15 minutes from opening the box to playing on it. I was able to move the table to the basement by myself by carrying the pieces down separtely. It did take two of us to attached each side of the table to the base only because the table sides are awkward to hold. After reading horror stories in other table reviews about assembly taking up to 5 hours I knew the Stiga Metro was the table for me and it truly is a quick play design. It seems like a pretty solid table. You get what you pay for and I didn't want to pay a lot for a new table. The table is easy for one person to fold up for storage or playback. When first folding the table all the way out the two table pieces were not flush in the middle, but it was easy to fixe by moving the table pieces. Once the net gets attached the table stays flush. There is a gap while in playback mode but it didn't bother me and it made me play a little harder. I have not noticed that the table surface marks up easily but I have only played on it for one night now, so time will tell. I am very happy with the table for the price. I could not find this model in local stores so I ordered through Amazon which worked out great since they shipped the table to my door. Amazon's shipping cost was less expensive than other sites I shopped on.

Very easy to assemble, if you have 2 strong persons to lift the board. Best with 3rd person to fit the poles into the tubing. Took me longer to get the table out of the box then putting it together. Very nice design, and folds easily. It is also easy to practice alone with one side of the table up. Delivery was easy also, with 2 days notice on delivery time.

The product is as advertised, and the quality is as expected for the price. Set-up was quick and easy with 2 people. Table plays well, and seems sturdy enough. Only issue was with the screw on one of the net holders. It kept stripping, and required a piece of wood inserted to hold the net tight. Would buy the product again.

The table is great! It only took about 10 minutes to put together. It's easy to fold for single use. It's for my 12 year old son and he loves it. Can't say anything bad about it.

Pros: - V. easy to assemble in under 10 minutes - Shipping thru Amazon was v. reasonable ($50) - Shipped faster than expected - Shipper unpacked the item in our house and took away the box! = Easy to change into playback (1-person play) and store position - Sturdy Cons: - Doesn't include paddles and ping pong balls - Surface marks easily There were other tables out there that looked like they might be sturdier, but either the shipping cost was larger than the cost of the table, or the assembly would take hours. We are very pleased. The cons are very minor compared to the quality of the table and how easy it was to put together!
