Butterfly 8256 Seemiller Table Tennis RacketReviewsPlayed with the racket last night for the first time and noticed an instant improvement. The ball sticks so well to the paddle and you have so much more control. Still working on my power shot, but for what I can do it still works well. This is my first Butterfly racket and to be honest, I expected something better. To start off, the handle is very thin. If you have large hands, this racket is a definite "no". I am entirely not sure whether the racket which was shipped to me was brand new. I could see that the rubber was not shiny in certain parts (especially along the edges) and showed definite signs of usage. I originally bought this for me, but have given it to my wife and she is happy with it! Overall, this is a decent racket but as I told earlier, if you have large hands and want a racket with more speed, please look for something else. I bought this racket with the intention of becoming a better player and get myself ready for tournament play. I would say that I am an intermediate player and have found this racket to be great. The power and spin are vastly improved over my old racket which was a Stiga but more of a beginner paddle. Of course with everything, a racket is more of a personal feel but I feel like this paddle is great for the beginner / intermediate player. Some people who have used my paddle do say that it is a tad heavy. In addition since this is a premade paddle in that it comes with the rubbers glued on already it is harder to change rubbers. If you want to customize your padded, then I would suggest paddle palace as another alternative. If you are thinking about getting a paddle, do it. This paddle is perfect for your intermediate game. Great on defense, excellent spin, awesome power. What I like most is that now my shots curve down and go in, rather than flying off the table. This paddle rocks. I've always loved ping pong and when I started a new job that conveniently had a ping pong table in the break room, I knew I had to get a new paddle. I've been playing on and off for years but I was getting schooled like a little girl. The paddles that were laying around were just cheapy and no good - no spin, power, or control. At first I tried Stiga Titanium (also from Amazon) but it was a total disappointment. It has 0 control and the balls were flying off the table almost every time. I had a few people try it and they all agreed it was a really weird paddle. Then I decided to give my search another try and get the Butterfly Seemiller. And did it deliver! This is the best paddle I've ever owned, hands down. I was able to win playing against people I'd never won with before. The Seemiller has incredible control, decent spin, and OK power. It's definitely not the fastest paddle but it's exactly what I wanted. It is also very light - much lighter than any other one I've held. I can return almost any serve now - it neutralizes spins and respins them all over. The ball is hitting the table edges instead of flying off a lot more often. I'm in love. This paddle has seriously revitalized my affection for ping pong. Get it and you won't regret it, I guarantee. Unfortunately, it costs $50 while other reviewers managed to get it for as low as $30ish. Well, even at $50 it's well worth it. Average Rating:![]() |

With slightly more speed than some models, the Butterfly Seemiller Table Tennis Racket is for the all-around player who likes to mix in powerful drives or smashes when the opportunity arises. The combination of Wakaba rubber and two-millimeter sponge gives you great spin, speed, and control... |
